National Justice Museum

The children from Team Endurance visited the National Justice Museum in Nottingham today in support of their topic examining what life was like for the poor in the Victorian era. During the day, they solved a Victorian murder mystery case and performed a court case to try a young Victorian girl accused of theft in a real life 19th century court room. To examine how crime and punishment have changed over the years, we also visited the medieval dungeons,  met a rather cruel Georgian gaoler and was introduced to a Victorian prison matron who got the children working hard in the laundry. What a packed day!
