An unexpected day of TB

Due to transition days and staffing considerations, we were able to sneak in a couple of unexpected TB sessions on Wednesday!

All children started their sessions by answering a series of questions linked to the things they could see and hear around the wood - this was a relaxing experience that we undertook whilst leaning against a tree!

Questions completed, we found a partner and shared our thoughts and ideas with them!  We had to remember what our partner had said as we shared this before hot chocky!

Following this, Discovery completed their orienteering maps and then designed and set out a course for someone else to follow - they were brilliant at this, proving that we have exceptional cartographers in school and brilliant, map-reading explorers!

Y5 split into four groups and undertook a nature investigation at the pond (they sketched some of the critters they found), designed and carried out a version of the Islamic Hajj, made a collage of a piece of Lowry art or made a bee hotel.
