Upper School Music Compositions

This week, in Music, we have extended our compositions further. The children were asked to create a piece of music that reflected contrasting moods. They were given the image below as a stimulus. We discussed the different sounds you would hear within both pictures and how the sounds would reflect the mood within a piece. They then used their knowledge of Garage Band, tempo, dynamics, texture and pitch to create their piece in pairs. 

After creating our compositions, we then listened to our compositions to see if we could spot when the mood changed.
