Endeavour started the day with terrible news from Flame - the Goblin's had discovered a haud of WW2 bombs and were training their dragons to drop them on KJS wood!
Urgent action was required, so the children investigated the effects of a bomb blast, analysed and tested materials for vulnerability to shrapnel penetration and commenced designing bomb shelters for the munchkins to seek refuge in should an attack come.
Discovery found a more uplifting letter in the woods which started us off on a nature-craft come scavenger-hunt challenge - here, the children were innovative, Perseverent, Collaborative and Creative...there were some truly magical creations!
After a hot chocky and bicci in a relaxing spot amidst the afternoon's dappled shade, some took Flame's next challenge to make games for Oak's party while others pursued their own interests.
It was a very purposeful and productive afternoon and it was lovely seeing the children so engrossed in their experiences.
