We started with a new game called 'Chicks', inspired by the conflict between the magpies and thrushes in our own wood. The children had to pair up, build a nest, protect chicks from scavenging magpies and collect insects. It was a high octane game that saw us deepen our understanding of the dangers faced by our resident song-birds.
There was some great defensive work from the birds, with good Collaboration and Organisation in groups.
After assembly, we had fire makers, picture frame constructors, artists and team builders.
